About us
Fru Larsen Hotel and Restaurant is a charming, yellow gem nestled in a lush, scenic area of East Jutland—in the small village of Laurbjerg, located between Aarhus, Randers, and Silkeborg.
Since October 2021, we—Karina and Christian Grand Neve—have been managing the property.
We both have a background in the service industry, and despite our young age, we bring extensive experience in the restaurant industry from some of the country’s best restaurants.

Fru Larsen Restaurant and Hotel
You’ll find Fru Larsen in a scenic part of East Jutland, in the small town of Laurbjerg, located between Aarhus and Randers. A visit to Fru Larsen is an experience in a relaxed setting, where hospitality and service take center stage. We offer gourmet stays where you get the full Fru Larsen experience. Here, you don’t have to worry about who’s driving home, and there’s more time to simply enjoy each other’s company.
You can take a walk in our scenic local area, play board games either in your room or in our cozy common areas, enjoy a glass of wine on our terrace, a cup of coffee in our lounge, or perhaps try some of the delicious cocktails from our drink menu.
You can also enjoy a gourmet dinner with us, where good hospitality and tasty cuisine without dogma are paramount. We focus on using seasonal ingredients, preferably as locally sourced as possible, without being limited to a specific type of cuisine.
We always offer a drinks menu that is perfectly matched to the dishes. Here, we present both our wine selections and a non-alcoholic alternative for each dish, allowing you to choose exactly what you want to pair with each course. Our wine selections are by no means set in stone. However, we prefer to work with European wines and are constantly on the lookout for small, exciting producers who craft exceptional wines using the most sustainable methods possible.
We have a large wine list that you can dive into if you want to choose your own wine instead. If you’re driving home or don’t drink alcohol, we also offer a juice menu that we’ve put a lot of care into, featuring a selection of juices and kombucha.
Last but not least, you can also enjoy our lunch, which we serve every Friday and Saturday. Here, we serve up plenty of homemade delicacies—including house-smoked salmon, homemade rolled sausage, homemade bread, and much more.
For this, we have a wide variety of homemade schnapps that are perfect for lunch.
